Building Scalable Knitwear Manufacturing with Intelligent Quality Systems
Founded in 1983 and headquartered in India, Eastman Exports has grown into one of India’s leading knitwear exporters. Eastman has evolved into a vertically integrated apparel manufacturing group covering spinning, knitting, dyeing, printing, embroidery, garmenting, and finishing.
Today, EASTMAN operates more than 35 manufacturing facilities and an annual output exceeding 100 million knitted garments. Its products are exported primarily to Europe and North America, serving internationally recognized fashion and sportswear brands including Levi's, H&M, Nike, Gap, Zara, and Lululemon. As global buyers continue raising requirements for product consistency, sustainability, and supply chain transparency, EASTMAN has accelerated investments in intelligent manufacturing systems. The company has introduced advanced spinning and sewing equipment while actively promoting automation upgrades across dyeing, inspection, and packaging processes to support future production expansion and high-end order acquisition.
However, with increasing production capacity and stricter international quality requirements, EASTMAN gradually encountered operational bottlenecks in manual fabric inspection and packaging processes. Traditional inspection methods could no longer keep pace with high-speed dyeing and finishing production lines, while inconsistent inspection standards, rising labor costs, and the lack of digital traceability created mounting pressure on quality management and customer compliance.
